About the Author
David Gibson has been taking street photographs for more than twenty years. He is one of the founders of in-public, the international collective of street photographers, and his work has been widely published and exhibited. He is commissioned by some of the UK’s leading design groups and he supplies several picture libraries with his images. He is based in London.
Matt Stuart is one of the leading street photographers working today and the author of All That Life Can Afford and Think Like a Street Photographer. He has exhibited his work and taught street photography all over the globe.

When I got my copy last week, I sat down to read the introduction. That moment lasted for hours and I found myslef reading half of the book righ away. Needless to say, I finished the book in 4 days, and I’m planning on reading it at least one more time. Why?I’ve been taking photographs on and off for 24 years now. Withouth noticing, most of my photographs fall under the street photography category and I wanted to expand my knowledge of it. The first few pages of the book was so close to my feeling and understanding of what I did, withouth naming them in the past. This book gave my whole phogoraphy life anotehr meaning. I felt I am reading about what I was and what I wanted to become.All chapters have deep knowledge about their subject matter, from the point of view of very well achieved photographers. In fact, most profiles mentioned in the book are so amazing, they should be a book on their own.I wish there was more books like this I could read.

2 stars off for the tiny font… totally unnecessary. Otherwise good content. I do prefer some other content including some on youtube by street photographers. Maybe this 1 will be more useful as I get more experienced in street photography. Just not quite what I was after including that tiny font.

Lost your mojo? Get this book!
This is a great book, and not just for street photography. It covers overviews of successful street togs – mainly contemporary ones rather than the big names from the past – and sections on various techniques, based on the author’s work.Although “street” is the focus of the book, you can use these techniques much more widely eg shooting friends and family, travel etc.What you don’t get is guidance on what kit to use, what aperture, post processing etc. There are no rules, it’s all about what works for you.

Prima di tutto specifico che è in inglese. È pieno zeppo di foto ed esempi con le storie che stanno dietro le composizioni. Sicuramente un ottimo spunto per chi cerca motivazione ed ispirazione.
