We love using beautiful outdoor locations throughout Niagara, but the best location ultimately depends on the look and feeling you want from your photographs.

😊 What if I’m uncomfortable in front of the camera?

You are definitely not alone!

Most people aren’t professional models, and we don’t expect you to be. Our sessions are designed to feel relaxed and enjoyable.

We’ll help guide you when needed, but we’re also watching for those natural smiles, laughs, interactions and little in-between moments that often become some of the best photographs from the session.

Our goal is to capture you being you.

🤰 Do you offer maternity photography?

Yes.

Maternity sessions are a beautiful way to celebrate this incredibly special chapter in your family’s story.

We aim to create maternity portraits that feel natural, flattering and meaningful — photographs that you’ll be able to look back on long after your little one arrives.

👗 What should we wear for our photography session?

Choose clothing that makes you feel comfortable and confident.

For family photography, coordinating colours usually work better than everyone wearing exactly the same outfit. Neutral tones, earthy colours and soft complementary colours photograph beautifully in many outdoor settings.

Try to avoid large logos, extremely busy patterns or anything that may distract attention from the people in the photograph.

Most importantly — wear something that still feels like you.

🖼️ Are my photographs professionally edited?

Yes.

Your final photographs are professionally edited as part of the Danders Photography experience.

Editing allows us to refine elements such as exposure, colour, contrast and overall presentation while keeping the photograph looking natural and true to the moment.

🔒 How long do you keep my photographs?

We understand how important your photographs are.

Your gallery is securely stored for 12 months at no additional charge, giving you added peace of mind after your session.

Extended image storage is also available:

1 additional year — $25
5 additional years — $100

We still strongly recommend keeping your own backup copies of your photographs.

📅 How far in advance should I book?

Booking early is always recommended, especially if you need a particular date or weekend.

Fall family photography and other seasonal sessions can fill quickly because there are only so many ideal photography dates available before the season changes.

If you already have a date in mind, it’s better to reach out sooner rather than later.

Outdoor sessions are a big part of what we love about photography. Natural light, changing seasons and the beautiful scenery throughout Niagara can create a relaxed setting for genuine photographs.

We can discuss location ideas with you before your session.

👶 Are children welcome at family sessions?

Of course — they’re family!

We understand that children don’t always want to sit still, smile on command or look directly at the camera.

And that’s perfectly fine.

Some of the most memorable family photographs happen when children are simply being themselves. We want your family session to feel like time spent together rather than a stressful photo shoot.

Whether you’re celebrating an anniversary, engagement, milestone or simply want beautiful photographs together, couples sessions are about capturing your connection.

You don’t need a special occasion to create memories together.

☀️ When is the best time for an outdoor photography session?

Beautiful outdoor photographs can be created throughout the day, but softer light is often particularly flattering.

The period shortly before sunset — commonly called golden hour — can produce beautiful warm, soft light.

The ideal time will also depend on the season, weather and location, so we’ll help determine what works best for your session.

🍂 Do you offer seasonal Mini Sessions?

Yes!

Throughout the year, Danders Photography may offer Mini Sessions for families, couples, children, maternity portraits and seasonal photography.

Mini Sessions are a great way to update your photographs without booking a longer session.

Availability is limited, particularly during popular seasons.

🤖 Does Danders Photography use AI?

We may use AI as an additional creative and advertising tool, just as modern photographers use technology throughout their businesses.

AI-generated advertising or promotional artwork does not represent photographs taken during actual client sessions.

Your photography session is about real people, real moments and photographs captured through our camera. Technology may assist us behind the scenes, but it doesn’t replace the photography experience or the memories we capture.

🖨️ Can I order prints and other photography products?

Yes. In addition to your photography session, selected prints and keepsakes may be available, including prints, canvas wraps, albums and USB keepsake boxes.

🌧️ What happens if the weather is bad?

Outdoor photography and Canadian weather don’t always cooperate!

If weather conditions could negatively affect your session, we’ll discuss the available options with you.

Our priority is creating photographs you’ll love rather than forcing a session when the conditions simply aren’t right.
