At Danders Photography, we want every client to feel confident when booking a photography session or purchasing products and services from us. Because photography is a personalized service and time is specifically reserved for each client, our refund and cancellation policy differs from that of a traditional retail business.
Photography Session Bookings:
When you book a photography session with Danders Photography, the agreed date and time are reserved specifically for you.
Any booking retainer or deposit required to secure your session is non-refundable, as this payment reserves your appointment and prevents that time from being offered to another client.
Any remaining balance must be paid according to the terms provided at the time of booking.
Cancellations:
We understand that plans can change.
If you need to cancel your photography session, please contact us as soon as possible.
- Booking retainers and deposits are non-refundable.
- Payments made beyond the booking retainer may be eligible for a refund depending on how much notice is provided and whether photography services have already been performed.
- Once a photography session has taken place, session fees are generally non-refundable.
We encourage clients to contact us if unexpected circumstances arise. We will always make reasonable efforts to find a fair solution.
Rescheduling:
If you need to reschedule your session, please contact Danders Photography as early as possible.
Where reasonable notice is provided, your booking may be transferred to another available date.
For outdoor photography sessions, Danders Photography may recommend rescheduling because of severe weather, unsafe conditions, or circumstances that could significantly affect the quality of your photographs.
If Danders Photography needs to cancel or reschedule a session, we will work with you to arrange a suitable alternative date.
Digital Images:
Because digital photographs are downloadable and cannot physically be returned, digital images and digital photography packages are non-refundable once they have been delivered or downloaded, except where required by applicable law.
Clients are responsible for reviewing their selected images, packages, and options before completing their purchase.
Editing & Artistic Style:
By booking Danders Photography, clients acknowledge that photography and editing involve creative and artistic judgment.
Our portfolio represents the general photographic and editing style you can expect. Differences in lighting, weather, location, surroundings, individual appearance, and other conditions mean that no two photography sessions will produce identical results.
A refund will not normally be provided solely because of personal preferences regarding posing, expression, composition, editing style, colour, or other artistic decisions.
However, client satisfaction is very important to us. If you have concerns about your completed photographs, please contact us so we can discuss them with you.
Prints & Physical Photography Products:
If you purchase prints or other physical photography products through Danders Photography, please inspect them when they arrive.
If an item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrectly produced, please contact us promptly and provide photographs showing the issue.
Where appropriate, we will arrange a replacement or other suitable resolution.
Because photographic prints and personalized products are produced specifically for each client, they generally cannot be returned or refunded because of a change of mind.
Gift Certificates:
Gift certificates purchased from Danders Photography are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash, except where required by law.
Gift certificates may be applied toward eligible Danders Photography services according to the terms provided with the certificate.
Promotional Offers & Discounts:
Photography sessions, packages, or products purchased using a promotional offer, discount code, or special pricing remain subject to this Refund, Cancellation & Returns Policy.
Promotional discounts have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Image Storage & Backup Services:
Any additional image-storage or extended-backup services purchased through Danders Photography are non-refundable once the applicable storage period has begun.
Clients are strongly encouraged to download and maintain their own backup copies of all delivered photographs.
No-Shows:
Clients who fail to attend a scheduled photography session without providing notice may forfeit their booking retainer and any other payments associated with that session.
A new booking and payment may be required to schedule another session.
Refund Processing:
Where Danders Photography approves a refund, it will normally be returned to the original payment method.
Processing times may vary depending on your bank, credit-card provider, or payment processor.
